Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding is the latest free game available to claim via the Epic Game Store.
Set in a post-apocalyptic United States, Death Stranding has players taking the role of a courier attempting to connect the pockets of society that’s remaining. The action game features a star-studded cast that includes Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner. A sequel is currently in development too.

The free offer seems to be for Death Stranding, not for the Director’s Cut. The link in this post takes you to Director’s Cut. Just search for Death Stranding, or scroll the store page down to Free Games.

The normal Death Stranding says free to me, the Director’s Cut is 23 pounds. Though yea I think this giveaway crashed their launcher or something lol. Even website crashed. But I just managed to snag it from the website by clicking “get” like 5 tries until it worked.

Is not clear if is the DS version.
I clicked the second the game went live, and got the DC version, Now this morning I clicked it again and it gave me the normal version as well. So in my library I have 4 death stranding things.

I can only assume that they put the DC up first by accident, then took it down.

Epic made a mistake, they gave the DC version away at first. If you where quick enough, you could get and keep it. xD

It’s utter crap on Epic. (although the game ran fine for the 30 minutes I played, before uninstalling)
Dual Sense controller is not recognised on Epic, It straight up does not work. You have to link the game through Steam for it to work.
You also won’t get haptic when linked through Steam. Epic games/launcher is utter trash.
Who wants this and why? The game is kinda boring and lacking in luster!
Better wait for Death Stranding 2 might be a better game than the first.

Another terrible sell and dissapointment that is free of course. Nevertheless thanks Epic, its not a terrible game, and i wish more videogaming companies could give away supossed “AAA” titles in this insanely expensive industry.
