Cant extract the files .r35 and .r71. The 7Zip application gives “Data Error”.
Btw, why the .r35 appears on both part1.rar and part2.rar?

I can’t install the update, I get the following errors during installation:

By the way, I already played and finished the game. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Misairuzame – I had the same problem myself. The original game and updates must be ed from this site, only then did the md5 checks for me.
My original came from another file sharing site and although it was a Codex release from here it would not update.
That’s not true on all sites codex realise is THE SAME as it is on this site! If u use elamigos or fitgirl realise that’s other story..

This was the issue. Thank you for reminding me. I had read the Hotfix was only for Windows 8/8.1 PC’s and I ignored it.
Installing the Hotfix fixed everything, thank you again.

Open the first one with WinRar and then use the “Assistant” function. It has the icon of a man with a turban on. It will then guide you and extract everything for you.

TRY THESE STEPS:
1) Update your DirectX and GPU driver to latest
2) Install RAGE_2.CodeX game
3) Install the HotFix BEFORE trying to update the game (The HotFix updates the corrupted ‘ShaderVulkan_F.shader_bundle’-file, needed for the updater to work)
4) Update the game and copy-paste files from CODEX folder into *:/RAGE 2 (Some AV softwares blocks the auto-patcher)
5) Go to *:/RAGE 2/_CommonRedist/vcredist/2015 and install/repair both vc_redist.x86 & -.x64 (if it won’t allow to install, then uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 and try again)
